Mendi Evans Mendi Evans

Mendi Evans is part of Car-Part.com's Training team, specializing in the Full Checkmate product suite, Web Services (CrashLink and CPI+/iCPM/Car-Part Gold) and Car Part Pro. Mendi has been with Car-Part.com for about 10 years, working with both the Training and Sales teams. She trains auto recyclers and repairers on Car-Part.com's software solutions.

Prior to Car-Part.com, Mendi worked in the golf business, planning weddings, membership events, and golf outings in Coastal Georgia and Coastal Virginia. She has a bachelor's degree in Psychology, with a minor in Business Administration from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA. Mendi lives in Richmond, VA and stays busy in her free time with her two boys and husband.



Theresa Colbert Theresa Colbert

Theresa Colbert is an on-the-ground representative for Car-Part.com. She works with dismantling yards to help them decide which products in the Car-Part suite best fit their needs and shows them how they can optimize their part listings for online sales through eBay, Brokering, and Trading Partners. She does this by emphasizing the importance of accurate part grading and high-quality part images. She also stresses the value of online sales in our current marketplaces.

Theresa has been with Car-Part.com for over 12 years. Previously, she worked at Nu-Parts Automotive Products for 13 years. Prior to Nu-Parts, she was the manager at Winter Auto Japanese Engines in Glendale, Arizona, and at AAA Economy Auto Parts in Phoenix, Arizona. Theresa also owns and operates her own automotive recycling yard, Recycled OE Parts in Richland, MO. With over 25 years of industry experience, she has seen the auto recycling world from almost every point of view. Theresa is on the Pennsylvania association event board, the Colorado association event board, and the ARA Scholarship Foundation fundraising committee. She also speaks at industry trade shows and writes monthly articles in The Recyclers Power Source, the Toolbox, and several state association publications.



Jeff Schroder Jeff Schroder

Jeff Schroder is the founding CEO of Car-Part.com, whose leading recycled parts marketplaces quote $80 billion of parts per year. Car-Part's iPro marketplace has provided 16-17% recycled parts usage in the US collision industry for over 5 years. Jeff serves on the Board of Trustees of CIECA. He also serves on its Architecture Committee, and is a CIECA Past Chair.

Previously Jeff served in architecture roles with AT&T Bell Laboratories, The United Nations, Viacom, and Sesame Street.



Dan Ruud Dan Ruud

Dan Ruud is a Business Analyst for Car-Part.com. He is responsible for testing new enhancements and software changes, acting as a communication point between developers and support staff, and helping support staff with escalated issues. Dan has also been part of numerous installations and conversions, so he understands what it's like working at yards ranging from a single employee to the largest yards.

Dan started working with Checkmate over 25 years ago as a basic support representative on the Orion product. He switched to Checkmate and worked his way up to the Lead Support Rep for Checkmate. He held that position for a few years, and once Car-Part.com purchased Checkmate, Dan then moved to the development and testing side of the product. He continues to assist with escalated issues when needed.



Sandra Toews Sandra Toews

Sandra Toews has been a Checkmate trainer for 36 years. She has been with Car-Part.com for 22 years, following the purchase of Checkmate. In 1989, Sandra graduated California State University, Chico, earning a bachelor’s in Management Information Systems, with a concentration in Computer Science. After graduating, she began working for Triad in a support role, in which she specialized in the Tire software. 10 years later, she joined Triad’s Service Dealer Training department, and while training customers on Service Deal, she began learning Checkmate. After Car-Part.com purchased Checkmate, Sandra transferred to Car-Part.com, as part of the Checkmate training department. She assists Becky Adkison Chitwood, and helps manage Checkmate conversations. Sandra also answers training room questions, with a specialty in Checkmate’s Accounting features. Currently, Sandra resides on 25 acres of Northern California land, where she raises a small herd of Boer meat goats for 4-H and FFA kids to purchase and show. She has been married for 31 years, and is a mother to 3 boys.



Todd Omel Todd Omel

Todd Omel joined Car-Part.com in 2018, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. After he graduated from Lawrence Technology University in Southfield, MI with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration he began working in the automotive industry and hasn't slowed down since. Todd has held positions at AutoInfo, ITS, Hollander, and VINterchange, gaining expertise in installations, support, sales, bookkeeping, and development.

Todd works with recyclers and Car-Part's development team to design features that deliver the best software solutions. He's been instrumental in bringing customizable Checkmate Excel Reports to recyclers, and has also worked on product development for CrashLink and Car-Part Interchange Plus Inventory. His goal is to make sure customers' needs are met and works hard to make that happen.



Jason Olson Jason Olson

Jason has been with Car-Part for over 10 years, and has been in the auto recycling business for over 16 years. With Car-Part, Jason is involved with the sales and customer training aspects of the company. He visits current and prospective Car-Part and Checkmate customers to train them on products and features. He also facilitates Executive Roundtable User Groups all across the country for Car-Part.com. In this position, Jason has visited thousands of salvage yards in North America to learn about their processes, and to educate them about how Car-Part's products can fit into their sales and production procedures while improving their overall efficiency and profitability. Prior to working for Car-Part, Jason managed sales teams.



Jeff Wissman Jeff Wissman

Jeff Wissman is the Product Manager for Bidmate, Partmate and Photomate. He oversees the design and development of new software and enhancements, and coordinates the Level 3 Customer Support for Bidmate, Partmate and Photomate. He joined the Car-Part team in February of 2013. Prior to coming to Car-Part, Jeff worked as a Development Manager with R.L. Polk and Company, supporting the Ford, General Motors, and Asian Import accounts.

Jeff has 35 years of software development experience in mainframe, client-server and mobile environments.



JC Chastain JC Chastain

JC Chastain is the Checkmate Product Manager for Car-Part.com. He leads the Development team responsible for product enhancements and new product development. JC has over 30 years' experience supporting and developing technology solutions for the auto recycling industry. He is a Certified Scrum Master and Product Owner with the Scrum Alliance. In 2011, JC received Car-Part's Lifetime Achievement award. He has co-authored numerous articles and a book on utilizing technology to teach statistical concepts.



Joe Heiman Joe Heiman

Joseph Heiman has over 20 years of experience in the automotive recycling industry, working for a family-run yard (Al's Foreign Auto Salvage and Sales). Joseph has worked in all facets of the industry. He started as a dismantler for his father while he was in high school, and he worked his way through college at the University of St. Louis, earning a Marketing degree in 2001. Joe later became the bookkeeper and then salesman, before he became the President at Al's Foreign Auto Salvage and Sales. He started his first yard at the age of 19 and ran the yard for 9 years before selling and purchasing his family business in 2006.

While working for Al's Foreign, Joseph served on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Auto and Truck Recyclers Association for 8 years. He was also an active member of a Car-Part.com Recycler Executive Roundtable Group.

Joseph closed his yard in 2014, and has been working for Car-Part.com ever since. As a Training Specialist, Joe has taught classes at industry events and helped nearly 100 recycling businesses get set up with and comfortable with the Checkmate inventory management system.



Justin Hoffman Justin Hoffman

Justin Hoffman is a Business Analyst with Car-Part.com. He was born into the recycling industry, working at Viking Truck & Auto Dismantlers in Redding, CA, owned by his family. There, Justin served 10 years as Vice President, and in this capacity, his responsibilities ranged from parts pulling and loader operating to sales, inventory, IT, and beyond. He joined the Car-Part team in 2020, initially working in Checkmate Support, before moving into an escalated support role. Justin then moved into Checkmate Development, where first he managed technical debt, customer enhancements, and bug fixes. Recently, Justin has played a key role in major new features in Checkmate, including eBay enhancements such as item specifics, relisting, and business policies. He is currently working on a Checkmate ecommerce overhaul and enhancement, which will introduce automated workflows and credit card payments within Checkmate. Justin is working with other departments in Car-Part.com as the company moves towards an integrated ecommerce model for Car-Part.com marketplaces.
